- Airlines canceled flight Refund issue Open
I had booked my original Air ticket thru MakeMyTrip in the month of March **** booing ID NN*************. Our flight got canceled by the Airline on * July ****, so Airline called me and offered full refund due to their cancellation policy, so I went ahead & canceled the air tickets with Airline directly on * July ****. The Airline said the refund amount will go back to the third party in this case it’s MakeMyTrip.
On the same day, I called up the MakeMyTrip customer service to inform about the cancellation done with the airline, the agent said he has filed a case which will get resolved in **-** hours . He did not give me any case reference. Surprisingly I never got any call back until ** hour so I called up the Customer Service again and found out that nothing was done from their end (in fact, again I explained the whole story of flight cancellation & this agent reassured that this will be resolved in ** hours & I will get a call back) again nothing happened until ** July ****,
So on ** July ****, this time due to the frustration of poor customer service over-the phone I used MakeMyTrip online portal to * submit the claim- Airline Cancelled flight case number [******-******] refund *
On ** July ****, I called up again to just Make sure that My refund will get processed within time, I even gave all the details of the case again (surprisingly every time MakeMyTrip Customer service agent starts fresh as if they don’t know anything about the case) I was told that it’s under progress but no firm confirmation. I asked for the higher authority to talk to so on two instances I was put on hold for more than ** minutes and no body showed up ever,
on ** July **** I again called customer service agent, again I had to explain the whole story again & asked about my refund status, to my surprise he said that I will get an answer within ** hours I said that was the answer on * July, ** July and now on ** July as well...* days had already passed since * July ****, I asked for the transfer to his supervisor, to which his supervisor denied saying he can not come on phone.
This is truly frustration that It’s question of ***,*** Rs. not a small amount, and MakeMyTrip can not give a status information to a customer even after * days.
Pathetic, such company should shut down their operations ans should fooling around people with their lucrative advertisements.
I had been loyal customer of MakeMyTrip for last * years bit now after this incident I give * ⭐️ to them
