- Air Asia Cancelled the flight didn t refund the ticket cost Open
Hi , I had booked a ticket from hyd- bbi on *th of jun **** . Air Asia cancelled the flight due to operational issues and I asked my travel agency IRCTC to cancel and get me a full refund. Irctc without even reading the mail cancelled the ticket as a voluntary cancellation and levied airline cancellation charges on me. I reached out to Airais for the refund and they raised a case on *th of March for a full refund and since then I am following them up and First of all I am unable to reach their customer care. They told me that It would take * days to refund the money to the travel agency but I am yet to get the. Kindly look into the matter.
I have raised a consumer complaint regarding this and they said they will refund the amount in credit account.

As a part of service recovery option we are offering full credit shell for the ticket fare; A Credit Account is where the balance of monies paid towards your booking is stored. Please note that it is not a direct refund to your Credit Card or bank account and it is not the same as BIG Points. The amount is stored to one of the travelling passengers or in the account of the BIG member whose Credit Card was used to pay for the booking. You can obtain your BIG Member ID by logging in at the AirAsia website. The Credit Account can be used for future travel booking and selective AirAsia add-on items ( eg. seat, meals or baggage etc). Credit Account can be utilised via AirAsia official website only. There will be a ** calendar day’s period from the issuance date but the actual travel dates could be after the expiry date as long as our schedule is out. *For Covid-**-related Credit Account, there will be a *** calendar day’s period from the issuance date. The actual travel dates could also be after the expiry date as long as our schedule is out. Please note that the credit account cannot be used to pay for excess baggage or services purchased at the airport i.e. Airport wheelchair fee, airport sports equipment fee etc. Secondly we would like to confirm you that AirAsia India is extending free rescheduling on its flights on the domestic network for all the travel till **st March **** on existing and new booking. Flights can be rescheduled to any date. Any fare difference would apply. The waiver applies to the first rescheduling only and only if the rescheduling is done at least * days prior to the scheduled date of travel. Further we regret to inform you that we are unable to process the full refund and no discourtesy is intended; Please be advised to check your latest flight status via the newsroom for any travel announcements.
