We newly wedded couple had planned for our honeymoon trip to Himachal Pradesh for the period of 03.02.19 to 10.02.19. Considering our post journey to be attended important tasks, well in advance on 04.12.18 we had booked our two air tickets of Jet Airways for flight no 9W323 for our return journey from Delhi to Ahmedabad having travelling date 10.02.19

On 7th of Feb 2019 morning (prior to 3 days of our return journey), we got an SMS saying our said flight (9W323 – 10.02.2019) has been cancelled due to operational reasons. We were literally in a state of shocked when this message received to us. Further, there was another jerked as there was no communication from Jet Airways as to what should be the next step to reach back to our destination. Until I sent my relative to Jet Airways office personally to check the exact status and to decide our further step which was supposed to be done by Jet Airways as their duty towards their customers. Only after my relative went with the query they gave us the option of full refund or alternate flight of next day (i.e. on 11th Feb 2019). We were totally upset due to this sudden change in our trip and had to pass the entire day in managing alternate arrangements for our return journey/accommodation etc. It really affected in such a manner that we could not even enjoy our honeymoon time which means a lot being special days in anyone’s life.
Since our alternate flight is of 11th Feb 2019, we had to pay for our hotel accommodation, food and other miscellaneous expenses, which ideally should be taken care by Jet Airways, as the client is at no fault but Jet Airways has nowhere demonstrated good service gestures. These things which happened with us has upset our honeymoon trip, gave us high mental trauma and other inconvenience. Additionally, I had my business commitments which totally got disturbed because of this delay. Hence, considering all the above inconvenience we would demand compensation for the same.
