Oil started leaking on the same day. Even after many repairs at the service centre, the problem continued. The customer said the bike had a manufacturing defect and asked for replacement or full refund but received no response. Aggrived by this, he <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/voxya.com\/company\/royal-enfield-complaints\/259\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filed a complaint against Royal Enfield<\/a> and its dealer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/voxya.com\/consumer-court-consumer-forum\/maharashtra\/central-mumbai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum Mumbai<\/a> first ordered replacement or refund with compensation. Later, the <a href=\"https:\/\/voxya.com\/consumer-court-consumer-forum\/maharashtra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maharashtra State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission<\/a> changed this and said only the engine should be replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, NCDRC decided that since no expert proof of manufacturing defect was given, full bike replacement was not required. But because the customer suffered for years, the Commission ordered free engine replacement, \u20b950,000 compensation, and \u20b925,000 legal cost.
